Approval granted for 18 New Housing Units for Taghmon

Stage 1 Approval has been granted for a housing scheme in Taghmon, Co. Wexford.  The project will cost €3,303,402 and include the development of 18 new local authority units.

Welcoming the announcement Minister Kehoe said “these units are much needed in the area and are one piece of the big picture of ongoing development of local authority housing in Wexford.

“This announcement follows the news last month of stage 1 approval for 14 units at a cost of 2,657,088 in Carricklawn, Coolcotts and funding approval for 10 “turn-key” units in Ballyboggan under the Capital Advance Leasing Facility.

“There is huge pressure on housing resources and these units are part of the strategy to alleviate this pressure and ensure that everybody in Wexford has access to a home.

“I am working closely with the Council and the Department to ensure that we continue to increase housing availability across Wexford.
