Fine Gael TD, for Wexford, Minister Paul Kehoe, has said that a €41,973 capital grant for FDYS will benefit young people in County Wexford.
“The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs has announced capital grants for 86 youth projects and organisations around the country and I am delighted that FDYS is to receive €41,973 in funding. This capital grant will really boost the services of FDYS and so will be of great benefit to young people in County Wexford.
The grant funding will go towards fitting out of premises (€16,975) and upgrade of existing facilities (€25,000).
“Youth projects and organisations such as FDYS play a crucial role in supporting young people throughout the country. It is hugely important that the Government continues to acknowledge their work and provide funding so that they can maintain and in some cases expand their services.
“We are working hard in Government to ensure that our recovering economy is used in the right way. This means making sure that everyone benefits, particularly vulnerable people or those who need extra support.”
